Street Fairs Abound
Dear Friends,
Are you enjoying your summer? I have so far been to Hood River to visit some of the Galleries with a long-time friend, and last week had the pleasure of connecting with one of my favorite artists for a hike at Powell Butte. I have also enjoyed visiting a friend’s garden, which looks different every week. (Talk about a work of art!)
So many fun things to do in the summer.
And there are street fairs coming up! Hope to see you at one of these events!

Look for my blue tye-dye canopy!
Thursday, July 17 I will be at Gresham Third Thursday on Main Street from 5-8:30 pm
Friday, August 1 my blue tye-dye canopy and I will be at the Troutdale First Friday event from 5 - 8:30 pm
I am looking for Holiday Bazaars in the east side of Multnomah County to vend at this fall, so if you have any recommendations, I am all ears! You can reach me at [email protected].
New Work in the Works
I think I have a harder time being still and creating anything in the summer. There are so many things to do when the weather is nice. (see above….) Do you have that problem too? Nonetheless, I finally buckled down and got to work on an idea that has been percolating in my brain for at least two months. I did manage to get a watercolor pencil sketch down. This is how I start with most of my ideas.

The picture is now about halfway painted; of course, it’s way more developed than this. It’s been challenging for me to work out how to paint a sandcastle that looks like anything like a sandcastle. I’m about 2/3 of the way there on the painting, and will hopefully have it for you soon on the website, and in next month’s newsletter. (Stay tuned….)
In the meantime, may you enjoy your summer while it lasts, and if you’re in the area, I hope to see you !
Warm wishes,
