Quietly designing for the Holidays

Dear Friends,
How are you doing this fall? I can’t believe it’s already autumn - as of today, no less. I have been struggling with a bit of artistic block, but I think I am finally over it. Something about the end of summer is so distracting. I suppose it has something to do with the sense that I need to get outside and play while the weather allows. Is it just me?

Introducing Doodle of the Week
My staff (shout out to Dorothy…) has encouraged me to foray into Instagram. I’m putting my toes in the social media waters this week with a the first of a Doodle of the Week series. If you aren’t on Instagram, I also have a Doodle of the Week page on my website! I am more than happy for you visit me there. If you ARE on Instagram and want to follow me, I am there under the moniker fabartiste.64.
Upcoming Holiday Cards
I have finally settled on the design for my 2025 Holiday Card, and now I just have to work out how to make my vision a reality. I will have my nose to the grindstone, with the goal of having 2025 Holiday Cards available for order by no later than October 31. (With any luck, sooner!) I intend to have both a general holiday card, and a Winter Solstice card this year. Watch for an announcement in October’s FABnews.
Please keep me in mind when buying holiday cards. I can deliver in-person free of charge for local orders.
Where to see Fran’s Work
Gresham Area League for the Arts (GALA), Juried Show Gresham City Hall, Council Chambers (this is in the annex building next to City Hall) October 6 - 31. Artist’s Reception Thursday, October 30, 2025 from 5:30 PM to 7:00 PM at the Gresham Council Chambers Lobby. Please come join us!
We Rise By Lifting Others may now be seen at Legacy Coffee, in the play area. It is surrounded by Pride coloring sheets, which does my heart good. My husband built the purple heartwood frame, and it is gorgeous. If you find yourself in downtown Gresham, please come by and take a look. There is quite a lot of art by Gresham’s local arts community. The coffee’s pretty good too!

We Rise By Lifting Others, framed in Purple Heartwood - it was a team effort!
Of COURSE, you can always see my work or visit my Shop at http://www.fab-artiste.com/ Please feel free to share my information with friends you believe may enjoy my work.
Thank you for supporting my work! You are THE BEST.
